To Understand Palladium, we have to take a history lesson first. Not a full course in history, just a brief explanation of where palladium started. Alright here we go; in the 1920’s Palladium started manufacturing airplane tires. They soon became the biggest airplane tire distribution supplier in Europe. Palladium introduced next level technology by layering canvas bands under vulcanized rubber tires.
Skipping ahead to 1947 after World War II ended the market for aviation tires decreased and palladium turned to making boots. Opening their first factory in Pont-de-Chéruy, France. The first boots introduced by Palladium were so comfortable and durable that they were adopted by the legendary French Foreign Legion.
Palladium had many years of success expanding from 1960-1990. During these years European explorers adopted these boot as their favorite boot to go adventuring in. The Rave scene even got a piece of the boots when the iconic Pampa boot became a fashionable style across the globe and over one million pairs were sold.
In 2009 the shoe company resurfaces after taking a brief hiatus. Palladium launches with a new urban explorer ethos and modernized construction techniques, this allows them to use modern materials and fabrics to launch a new boot for the new modern explorer in us.
